Tjiwarl Contracting Services
Tjiwarl Contracting Services (TCS) came to Empresario with a clear vision: a bold new brand identity that genuinely reflects their deep connection to country, culture, and community. Operating in Tjiwarl country in Western Australia, TCS is an Aboriginal contracting services organisation guided by a powerful commitment — "Care for Country, for Culture, for Our People—to keep our Tjukurrpa and Parna strong, and build a better future for ourselves and our future generations."

Challenge
TCS required a brand identity that was not only visually strong, but culturally authentic and deeply representative of its people, community, and Country.
The challenge was to create a system that balanced professional credibility with cultural integrity — ensuring the identity felt genuine, meaningful, and owned by the community it represents.

Process
The process began with cultural understanding and true collaboration.
Cultural Partnership
Working alongside an experienced Aboriginal designer, the project prioritised respect, learning, and co-creation — ensuring every decision was grounded in cultural meaning.
Concept Development
Multiple directions were explored before arriving at a central concept inspired by the Tjiwarl tree:
- Roots anchoring people to Country
- Branches reaching out in support
- Leaves symbolising community strength
Visual Identity System
The colour palette was drawn directly from the Tjiwarl landscape — earthy, bold, and vibrant — reflecting tones already familiar and meaningful to the community.
Every element of the identity was designed to feel symbolic, intentional, and deeply connected to place.

Result
The final brand is authentic, representative, and built with purpose.
It delivers a powerful visual identity that reflects responsibility, resilience, and collective strength — while remaining flexible and future-ready.
More than a logo, it’s a symbol of community and connection — giving TCS a brand that feels true to who they are, and strong enough to carry forward for years to come.
